Making a Difference in Doha, Qatar
Posted April 11, 2010
on:Resources. Resources are needed in order to create. Education, money, shelter, and nature are all available in Qatar, but in order to use all these resources in the best way, you need one more important resource and that is your health. The youth of Qatar have been given an amazing opportunity to create incredible things. They have seen buildings, businesses and projects arriving everyday. Soon it will be their turn to create something new and exciting for Qatar.
It’s time to insure that the children have the health that they need.
So, I’ve decided to spend a year, with the help of Vodafone, Qatar – to make a difference in the lives of young preteen girls in Qatar.
The purpose of my project is to communicate the importance and benefits of healthy living to these young ladies. How do I plan to accomplish this? To start- raising awareness!!
My project still needs a name. I started with GO GO GIRLS but that one sounds a bit like the dancers which really isn’t the image I’m looking for. The next name I thought of was Shape it Up, Qatar (which is now the name of my blog) but that name only speaks to the body and I want to include the mind and the spirit. I’ll keep thinking…..
With a healthy mind, body and spirit you can create your own world.
